Terms of Service
[PLACEHOLDER] These terms will govern your use of CaptureSites. The outline below summarizes how the platform works today and is not a substitute for the final terms.
1. The marketplace
[PLACEHOLDER] CaptureSites connects domain sellers with buyers. We are not a domain registrar.
2. Accounts
[PLACEHOLDER] You must provide accurate information, verify your email address and keep your credentials secure.
3. Buy-now purchases and escrow
- [PLACEHOLDER] Payment is held by CaptureSites until the domain transfer is confirmed.
- [PLACEHOLDER] Buyers choose delivery to their own registrar or CaptureSites-hosted delivery at checkout.
- [PLACEHOLDER] Hosted delivery adds the disclosed live registrar cost plus $5. Registrar charges may become non-refundable once an order is submitted, except for credits actually returned by the registrar.
- [PLACEHOLDER] For own-registrar delivery, funds release when the buyer confirms, three days after the code is first viewed, or seven days after submission if it is never viewed, unless the buyer reports a problem first.
4. Lease-to-own
- [PLACEHOLDER] The domain is held in escrow by CaptureSites for the lease term.
- [PLACEHOLDER] After a 7-day grace period following failed payment, the lease is in default and the domain is returned to the seller.
- [PLACEHOLDER] Payments already collected are not refunded on default. See lease-to-own terms.
5. Fees
[PLACEHOLDER] Sellers pay a 10% commission on buy-now sales and 15% on lease-to-own payments. Hosted transfer and renewal charges are paid by the buyer at the current registrar cost plus $5 and never reduce seller proceeds.
6. Seller obligations
[PLACEHOLDER] Sellers must own the domains they list and provide a valid transfer code within 48 hours of a sale.
7. Liability, disputes and governing law
[PLACEHOLDER] To be provided by counsel.
