Lease-to-Own Premium Domains
Make premium domains affordable with fixed monthly payments. Own your domain when the last payment clears.
Calculate your monthly payment
Example for a $5,000 domain.
Choose a term
- Monthly payment
- $434.94
- APR
- 8%
- Total over 12 months
- $5,219.28
- Financing cost
- $219.28
Ownership transfers after the final payment. If a lease ends in default, payments already made are not refunded. See lease-to-own terms.
Flexible terms
Choose 6, 12, 18, 24 or 36 months. Longer terms mean lower monthly payments.
Fixed, transparent rates
Each term has a fixed APR shown before you commit. The first invoice separately identifies the registrar transfer cost plus $5.
Use it from day one
You manage the domain's DNS during the lease, so you can build your site straight away.
| Term | APR | Monthly | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 months | 6% | $847.98 | $5,087.88 |
| 12 months | 8% | $434.94 | $5,219.28 |
| 18 months | 10% | $300.29 | $5,405.22 |
| 24 months | 12% | $235.37 | $5,648.88 |
| 36 months | 15% | $173.33 | $6,239.88 |
How lease-to-own works
1. Pick a domain and a plan
Choose a leasable domain and one of the terms the seller offers. Your first payment starts the lease and you are billed monthly after that.
2. The domain goes into escrow
The seller transfers the domain into an account held by CaptureSites, which is the registrant during the lease. The first invoice includes the disclosed registrar transfer cost plus $5. You manage the domain's DNS from your dashboard.
3. Own it at payoff
When the final payment clears, ownership is released to you and the registrant changes to your name.
Missed payments and default
- If a payment fails, the card or bank account on file is retried automatically.
- If payment still has not been made after retries, you have a 7-day grace period to bring the lease up to date.
- After the grace period the lease is in default: it ends, and the domain is returned to the seller.
- Payments already collected are not refunded if the lease ends in default.
